“Winning the Yela Art Prize was a great encouragement to my artistic journey. I am grateful to Yela Art Foundation and its sponsors for recognizing and supporting emerging artists like me.”

Joshua is a visual artist based in Benin City and a recipient of the 2025 Yela Art Prize. Working primarily with charcoal and graphite, his practice explores realism through detailed pencil-based drawings that capture emotion, character, and everyday experiences.

Yes, all weekly business classes are completely free for artists. Sponsored by our partners.
