Founded in 2018, YELA Foundation emerged from a critical need for structured support within Nigeria's vibrant but underserved art community. We recognized the immense talent waiting to be nurtured and the economic opportunities waiting to be unlocked.

Today, we provide state-of-the-art facilities, comprehensive training, and crucial market access to ensure Nigerian artists can transform their passion into prosperous, sustainable careers that contribute to our cultural landscape.

Foundation Established

YELA Foundation launched with a mission to support emerging Nigerian artists.

First Residency Program

Launched our flagship artist residency supporting 5 emerging talents.

Digital Transformation

Pivoted to virtual programs during pandemic, reaching artists nationwide.

2022

Expansion Phase

Opened second location and expanded programs to 15+ initiatives.
